Hans Jörg Glattfelder ( Zurich, 1939) incorporates elements from the constructive and concrete visual language, as well as from op art and kinetic art, to develop his own visual dialect. He first found international recognition as a relief sculptor, and later as the discoverer of “non-Euclidean metaphors”.
He has published his theoretical thoughts regularly since 1966. He has lived and worked in Paris since 1998. Around a hundred solo exhibitions of his works have been held so far. He is an honorary member of the Hungarian-founded Open Structure Art Society (OSAS).
His book, Glossary of Words and Concepts in Concrete Art (Glossar.Worte und Begriffe zur konkreten Kunst), contains his thoughts on thirty-one concepts which are central to his oeuvre. To coincide with this exhibition, the book is published in German, Hungarian and English translation.
Daniel Bisig ( Zurich, 1968) since 2001 he has worked at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the University of Zurich, and has been a researcher and lecturer at the ICST (Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology) at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) since 2006. His work, which spans the border between art and science, has earned him a number of international prizes.
