Hungary’s Foreign Minister Says He’s Not Aware Of Govt Reshuffle Plans
- 27 Feb 2015 11:00 AM
He said he consulted daily with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and considering that foreign policy “has become part of domestic policy to an unprecedented degree” he knows Orbán’s opinion precisely.
Commenting on reports of a possible government reshuffle, he said this was not on the agenda for the time being to the best of his knowledge.
He added that Orbán had not made any remarks suggesting that the position of any of the ministers would be in question.
Meanwhile, he said he had called a meeting of ambassadors in March because the speed and significance of changes around the world justifies holding two such meetings each year instead of one, with the second planned for the autumn.
He said the most important targets of Hungary’s foreign policy is to continually strengthen relations with Germany, seek pragmatic cooperation with Russia, strengthen political cooperation with the US, find a peaceful solution in Ukraine and maintain close cooperation with other central European countries.
