Tech Giant Huawei To Spend €33M On Network Expansion In Hungary

Huawei has invested 200 million euros in Hungary over the past ten years, he added. Huawei is adding regional functions to its base on the outskirts of Budapest, in addition to production and logistics activities. The centre will handle returns, repairs and parts supply for the whole European continent, Huawei Hungary said in a press release.
The company has partnered with local businesses Vodafone, for whom it is delivering a 4G mobile network, and Magyar Telekom to supply its IP-TV technology and network. Huawei will expand regional functions at its base just outside of Budapest, in addition to existing production and logistics activities. The center will handle returns, parts supply and service for all of Europe, new portal bbj.com reported.
Huawei is a global leader of ICT solutions. Its telecom network equipment, IT products and solutions, and smart devices are used in 170 countries and regions. With annual sales revenue of USD39.6 billion in 2013, Huawei ranked 285th on the Global Fortune 500. The company invest over 10% of its annual sales revenue into R&D and more than 45% of its 150,000 employees engage in R&D.
