The government is allocating 7.9 billion forints (EUR 26m) until the end of next year for the reconstruction of Budapest’s Castle District, state secretary László L Simon said. The project includes the construction of a 1.5 billion forint 300-space underground car park at the back of the Buda Castle, the 2 billion forint renovation of the historic stables and 3.5 billion forints for revamping a bastion and a stairway leading to the castle, Simon said.
