Hungarian Court Bans Neo-Nazis From Stadiums
- 23 Apr 2015 9:00 AM
Three men who held up the flag of Hungary’s wartime fascist Arrow-Cross party were yesterday banned from all Hungarian professional football matches for periods of two to four years by the Capital Court. The incident occurred after the FTC-Újpest first-division game at the Puskás Ferenc Stadium on September 22, 2013 in the presence of nearly 1,000 fans and police.
One of the three produced and displayed the flag then gave it to two friends who raised the flag while making the Nazi salute.
The verdicts are not open to appeal.
