Suicides In Hungary Decline

The number of suicides reported in Hungary dropped by 34% between 2000 and 2013, daily Magyar Nemzet said, citing figures from the Central Statistical Office. As against 3,269 suicides reported in 2000, the number dropped to 2,093 in 2013.
The decline was the smallest among middle-aged people, the paper said.
The number of suicides by men was 3.5-times as high as the number of suicides committed by women and the most frequent method was hanging.
