Hungarians Connect To Internet Several Times A Day

Fully 87% of Hungarian adults connect to the web several times a day, according to a representative survey by market research company eNet. For city-dwellers and residents of small towns and villages, the percentages of adults who use the internet several times a day are 89% and 86%, respectively, suggesting that the digital divide is narrowing. Fully 99% of Hungarians have internet access at home.
About half of city-dwellers use mobile internet, and the percentage is 43% in smaller communities. Almost 70% of Hungarians with smartphones use the devices to access the internet on a daily basis.
Altogether 65% of city-dwellers and 62% of residents of smaller communities have a smartphone. Hungarians use the internet mainly to obtain information, browse, email and use social media, according to the survey.
