Barbed Wire On Hungarian Border Fails To Stop Migrants
Migrants arriving from Serbia are apparently having little difficulty in cutting through the barbed wire barrier along the border with Serbia, according to reports. As the coils of wire are only 1.5 metres high, migrants can pass clothes, sleeping bags and even children over them. Migrants are arriving in large numbers near Röszke, where there is no wire fence, along railway tracks that lead from Subotica in Serbia.

Police are posted near Röszke all day and direct the migrants to collection points.

Previously, most migrants entered Hungary near the towns of Ásotthalom and Mórahalom, which are closer to Subotica.

Police have ordered 25 detectives to Csongrád county to help local forces, primarily in dealing with people-smuggling.
