Consecration Of The Bread, Budapest, 20 August

The Festival of Folk Arts 2015 between the 20th and 23rd of August, for four days the focus will be on the life of shepherds. The main goal of the festival has remained the same for nearly three decades: to present very rare but still active crafts that exist thanks to creative minds and hardworking people from the past.
20th of August – Thursday
14:30 – Harvester procession
15:00 – Consecration of the bread
The dancers and masters are greeting St. Stephen’s feast with ceremonial consecration of bread and harvester coroneted procession by evoking a several century’s tradition.
The route is: Lion’s Court – Szent György Street – Dísz place – Tárnok Street – St. Stephen’s Statue.
There will be a ceremonial consecration of bread next to St. Stephen’s statue on 20th of August at 3 pm.
Dr. Nagy Gábor Tamás, the Major of Budavári Local Government will make a speech.
Csaba Fejes will say the consecration of bread.
