Hungarian Govt To Set Up Counter - Terrorism Coordination Committee
- 18 Nov 2015 3:01 AM
The government is setting up a coordination committee for counterterrorism and preventive measures under the supervision of the Counter-Terrorism Centre, government spokesman Zoltán Kovács said. The committee’s members will be representatives of all affected services including relevant institutions, Kovács said after a cabinet session. “The work will be of an operative, preventive nature,” he said.
The decision will be published in the form of a government decree.
György Bakondi, the prime minister’s chief internal security advisor, said earlier that the Hungarian authorities have decided to tighten security measures in the light of the Paris terror attacks. He said there was legal work under way to introduce a new set of security measures in connection with terror alerts.
