Most Hungarians Support Olympic Bid
Most Hungarians, including 66% of Budapest residents, would be pleased to see the city host the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, according to a new Ipsos poll. Across the country, twice as many people, 60%, favour the Olympic bid, while 29% do not. Only 11% are undecided. Supporters are in the majority in all sections of society, but especially among degree holders and those in their 20s and 30s.

Even among less enthusiastic groups, such as the elderly and poor, more of those surveyed support the Olympic bid than oppose it.

The results are based on a representative survey of 1,000 adults in early December.
