The Force Awakens Smashes Records In Hungary

After becoming the highest grossing film of all time in Hungary, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has broken yet another record by becoming the fastest movie to draw more than one million viewers. The seventh instalment of the epic space saga drew 1,005,146 viewers during its first three weeks of release, generating nearly 1.5 billion forints (EUR 4.7m) at the box office, the film’s Hungarian distributor said.
The previous record was held by James Cameron’s Avatar, which took three months to reach the milestone.
The Force Awakens, directed by J. J. Abrams, has broken numerous records at the Hungarian box office in its first three weeks.
The film destroyed opening day and opening weekend records, breaking the record for daily number of opening day and opening weekend viewers in the process.
