Councillor Gál Took Part In Murder
Roland Gál, Fidesz member of Dunaújváros town council, took part in the murder of Dunaföldvár entrepreneur Antal Molnár three years ago, Tolna county police told reporters on Tuesday.

Molnár was killed in his own home on May 1, 2013, allegedly by Gál and two other residents of Dunaújváros, who are also in police custody.

Police said the trio assaulted and ultimately killed their victim. They then took the body to Dunaújváros and buried it in two to three cubic metres of construction debris and cement in the cellar of a building on Petõfi utca.

Magyar Nemzet reports that Gál may have had considerable debts, and had been reprimanded in the past as an accomplice to falsification of documents.

Police are still investigating the motives for the murder.

Fidesz caucus leader Lajos Kósa said on Friday that Gál’s party membership had been suspended and will be revoked if he is found guilty.
