Referendum On Ft 2mn Salaries Okayed

A signature drive can begin for a referendum on restoring the Ft 2 million monthly salary ceiling at state-run companies, as a National Election Committee ruling approving the question entered into effect on Tuesday. Independent MP Zoltán Kész submitted 13 questions on curbing corruption and on the Ft 2 million ceiling to the National Election Office on December 21.
Organisers have 120 days to collect 200,000 signatures for a referendum.
