Introducing The 'Mini Hungary' Model Park In Szarvas

Should it be a family trip, hiking, school trip, unconventional history lesson, team-building tour, workplace coaching weekend or a pension club event, everybody can walk around the “whole country” in a few hours, while catching the outstanding architecture sights and historical events from over hundreds of years.
In the first stage, dozens of historical sights and locations are represented by the models of the buildings, including the Dome of Szeged, Budapest's Széchenyi Bridge (or Chain Bridge), Kecskemét's Gaudy Palace or the model of Eger's Castle, which represents the 16th century state of the building with the related and most famous historical event, the siege of the castle by the Turkish army in 1552.
Mini Magyarország in numbers
It took 9 months for 12 experts to create the outstandingly realistic details of the models and the park, in cooperation with acclaimed fine artists, and more than 50 other workers. Thanks to the special technology design of the models, the small buildings are especially resistant to outdoors circumstances, they already proved that in the extreme winter-like weather conditions in March, 2013. About the Arboretum of Szarvas
Hungary's largest arboretum is found at the oxbow lake at Szarvas and Békésszentandrás, in a 82-acres site. Following the control of the Körös-rivers, Count Pál Bolza started the large-scale planting in the early 1880s, when he procured many rare species of plants from all corners of the world. The collection of wooden stalk plants includes more than 1,600 types of specialities. Besides the plants, several species of animals live in the gardens, including special birds like albino peacocks of the Arboretum.
The website of Hungary's one and only interactive model park Mini Magyarország in Szarvas has been extended with a new, interactive model map. With the new app, visitors can find the geographical location of each models at once on the map, and while they can also reach the info pages of the models of legendary castles, temples, railway stations and other buildings in Mini Magyarország.

For children under the 3 free entry.
We kindly inform our visitors that the train models of the Mini Magyarország model park are working between 1 April - 30 September from AM 8.00 to PM 7.00, between 1 - 31 October from AM 08.00 to PM 6.00, between 1 November – 31 March depending on the weather.
The train models do not work in rainy weather.
All the other models are working continuously.
