Writing on Facebook, this morning, the star, who is especially popular in Hungary, posted: ”Jo Reggelt to my fans in Hungary and congratulations for the best foreign language film 2016!!”

The acting legend also flashed his Hungarian language skills, “Jó reggelt!” meaning “Good morning!” in the country’s language.

The picture has been “liked” by some 15 000 fans since being uploaded four hours ago. Bud Spencer has over one million followers on Facebook.

He is so popular in Hungary that his personal website, launched in 2015, is now available in Hungarian alongside Italian, English and German.
