See What Happened @ Vörösmarty Spring Fayre
I think we can safely say that the winter has gone and being replaced by the eating and drinking season! The winter blues have been blown away with sharp, dashing rays of sunshine. And as we all know, when the sun is out the people are out enjoying local hospitality, with the taste buds tingling for some delicious street food washed down with the usual Hungarian suspects.

There is a wide range of cultural events taking place until 24 April in downtown Budapest. The aim is to provide high quality entertainment to the residents of Budapest and the visitors of the capital with cultural events, applied arts presentations, folk music and folk dance shows.

In addition to cultural events, 72 artists and workshops have the opportunity to showcase their skills. Some fine work of folk artists, craftsmen, designers, creators of innovative craft-works and artisan food makers were selected by a professional jury.

So the Spring Fayre features traditional products, as well as, objects of folk art in a modern, re-thought format and creations from various designers. This year the cuisine of the middle class and the peasants will be in focus, and bread baking is an exciting attraction, and the fabulous weather makes it all that more enjoyable.
