Telenor Hungary Extends Availability Of Online Service
The Hungarian subsidiary of telco giant Telenor yesterday extended the availability of its MyTV service to provide live access to 50 television channels and a video library of films and series to non-Telenor customers, according to a press release issued yesterday.

“Starting from today, customers no longer need a television subscription to use flat-rate video-on-demand service HBO GO from Telenor,” the company announced yesterday. Through its partnership with HBO GO, Telenor’s service includes 750 films, 100 series and 250 documentaries, all available dubbed or subtitled, for a monthly fee of HUF 2,490. The package includes state-owned M1, M2, Duna, Duna World and M4 Sport channels.

With the expansion of its online television service through the addition of the well-known online premium video-on-demand service HBO GO, subscribers can now browse an expanded selection of films and series, according to the statement.

“We believe that MyTV offers a real alternative to traditional television subscriptions. MyTV requires no cable and provides unlimited access to content anytime and anywhere. ... Now our customers can select their favorite programs from 50 television channels and several thousand hours of video,” said Aleksandra Banovic, Chief Digital Services Officer of Telenor Hungary.
