Hungarian national ice hockey team goalkeeper Ádám Vay has signed a two-year contract with the Minnesota Wild of North America’s National Hockey League following his performances in the recently concluded world championships. Vay said he and his agent had been approached via e-mail during the tournament.
He will go to a training camp in July and will have to work hard, he said, adding “the real challenge starts now”.
The tall, 196cm Vay saved 91.1% of the shots he faced at the world championships.
