LMP Accuses Govt Of Moving To Change Public Procurement Law To Favour Vajna
The leader of green opposition party LMP has accused the government of attempting to change the public procurement law with a view to protecting the business interests of Andrew Vajna, the government’s film industry commissioner.

András Schiffer dubbed the amendment “Lex Vajna”, insisting that the purpose of the proposed change was to make sure that Vajna’s businesses which include commercial broadcaster TV2 among other media enterprises, could not be excluded from public contracts. Currently businesses that have formed cartels three years prior to a tender cannot participate in one.

The amendment would make excluding such businesses merely an option, he said.
