Tourist Buses May Be Banned From Buda Castle
Tourist buses will be banned from the Buda Castle district from May 15 because of the renovation of the Carmelite convent, the future home of the Prime Minister’s Office. The thousands of tourists who visit the Castle are to be taken there on Budapest public transport buses.

It is claimed that the restrictions are necessary because of the outdated drainage system and the damage to the road surface by tourist buses.

However, cement-mixing trucks weighing 35-40 tons are free to drive around, Népszava writes.
