Gov’t Calls Off Repatriation Programme
The cabinet is scrapping its Come Home Youth scheme designed to lure expatriate Hungarians back to the homeland, Economy Minister Mihály Varga announced. The scheme launched last year offered financial aid to those who returned from abroad, as well as assistance in finding employment and housing.

Varga said Ft 100 million was spent on the project, but only 105 Hungarians were persuaded to return home.
