Like many other festivals in Budapest, the Festival of Folk Arts is also a celebration of the famous Hungarian gastronomy with wine and palinka tasting, traditional Hungarian dishes and delicious home-made pastries.

Opening hours of the Festival of Folk Arts: 10.00 AM - 11.00 PM. The market will be open for public from 10.00 AM to 9.00 PM, and you can enjoy the programme of the stages and gastronomy until 11.00 PM.

You can buy a ticket for the festival that valid for the whole event (for 4 days). They’ll have a really special and preferential package for the family who has 2, 3 or 4 children.

Daily tickets:

Full price: 2000 HUF

Reduced price (youths aged 4-14 and retired): 1000 HUF

Family ticket (2 adults accompanying 2 youths aged under 14): 5200 HUF

(2 adults accompanying 3 youths aged under 14): 6000 HUF

(2 adults accompanying 4 youths aged under 14): 6800 HUF

Free admission for children under the age of 4

Tickets valid for 4 days:

Full price: 5000 HUF

Reduced price (youths aged 4-14 and retired): 2500 HUF

We can only accept credit card payments at the Koldus Gate and Barokk Gate (Szent György Square) and Clark Ádám Square.

Tickets purchased via internet may either be picked up at Information Szent György Square or at Clark Ádám Square.

The tickets are also valid to the exhibitions of the Budapest History Museum – Castle Museum.

The Hungarian National Gallery’s permanent and temporary exhibitions can be visited with a combined ticket during the Festival of Folk Art

The Castle Gardens Bazaar‘s temporary exhibitions can be visited during the Festival of Folk Art for the visitors of the Festival with 30 % discount.

As an organisation with high social responsibility it is extremly important for us that the people with disabilities could easily visit our festival and find attractive and interesting programs.

We are open to everyone and any person with a disability ID card can buy their entrance ticket with a dicount price of 1000 HUFs . The special offer is valid for one escoritng person as well.

No admission for funicular !

The use of elevator (National Széchényi Library) is not included in ticket price

You can visit the festival only with a valid and undamaged wristband!

The organizer reserves the right to change the programs of the Festival!
