Three-time Olympic and 31-time world kayak champion Katalin Kovács announced her retirement from competitive sport on Friday. Fighting back tears, Kovács told a press conference that, as she had failed to qualify for the Rio Olympics, she made it clear to herself and her daughter that her family is now the top priority in her heart.
