Venture Capital Likes Hungary
Venture capital investments in Eastern Europe went up by 25% last year to €1.6 billion, the European venture capital association Invest Europe announced.

Poland received 54% of the total, followed by Serbia with 14%, and Hungary with 10%, or €158 million. Romania was fourth with a 9% share of the total.

The number of venture capital exits in the region was 97, as investors withdrew a total of €1.2 billion.

In value terms 65% of this was withdrawn from Poland, 14% from Bulgaria and 6% from Hungary.
