Visitors Centre Opens At Budapest Cemetery
- 4 Nov 2016 8:00 AM
A visitors centre will be dedicated at the Rákoskeresztúr cemetery in Budapest’s 17th District to inform visitors about martyrs of the 1956 Uprising who are buried there.
The building, completed in five months, presents an account of the events of 1956 and the lives of Imre Nagy and other revolutionaries who are buried in the cemetery.
Films and photographs that make up much of the content will be available on the visitors centre website from late November.
