On Friday -6C temperature and strong in places stormy wind are forecast.

The coldest periods will be early Saturday and Sunday, Jenki said.

A second degree warning was issued because of the extreme cold for Borsod, Nógrád and Szabolcs counties.

The National Disaster Control Directorate recommends precautionary measures, advising car drivers to make sure they have more fuel than usual and that their mobile phones are fully charged.
