Youth World Kayaking Champion Dies In Car Accident
Richárd Janza, 21-year-old world youth kayaking champion, died in a car accident early Saturday morning. Police said Janza was killed at 1.15 a.m. Saturday morning as he was sitting in a stationary car waiting at a red light on Szentendre út when another car smashed into the vehicle at high speed.

The driver and passenger of the stationary car were killed instantly. The driver of the speeding car was taken by ambulance to hospital with severe injuries.

TV2 said the driver of the speeding car had been racing with someone and that the section of Szentendre út is a favoured location for illegal races.

The driver was reportedly drunk when his car smashed into the other one.
