New Repairs Started in 80 Places on Poor Roads in Hungary

Vitezy highlighted that 20,000km of the country’s 31,000km road network are in poor condition, requiring urgent action.
"The Orban government spent twice as much on propaganda and 'blue posters' through Gyula Balasy’s company as it did on maintaining the national roads under Magyar Kozut’s management.
In 2024, only 18 billion forints [EUR 47 million] were allocated for the renovation of the entire national and secondary road network, while the construction of the lavish 'Propaganda Ministry' building in Buda Castle received more funding," he said.
"The neglect of Hungary’s rural road network is a direct reflection of the failed government’s power machinery and its propaganda-driven political governance.
Unfortunately, as the central budget is left in ruins, such a backlog cannot be addressed in a single step, but as you can see: the work has begun!" Vitezy concluded.
