Local Opinion: Manchester Seen As Proving Hungary Right
A pro-government analyst blames irresponsible western leaders for the spread of the terror threat in Europe and mentions Hungary’s strict immigration rules as an example of responsible policy.

On Mozgástér, Áron Máthé cautions Europeans against accepting what ‘resigned’ statements by London Mayor Sadiq Khan and former French President Francois Hollande, who say that from now on, the inhabitants of the continent will have to get used to the constant presence of terrorism.

Instead of giving in to terrorism, governments should actively act against it, for instance by thwarting the uncontrolled immigration of masses of people whom Europeans have no idea how to integrate.

At present however, he complains, decision makers are more afraid of being branded as Islamophobic or xenophobic than of terrorism itself. After each tragic and horrendous terrorist attack they are quick to declare anti-terror states of emergency.

Hungary, on the other hand, Máthé writes, has an effective one in force, represented by its ‘legal and physical border closure’.
