MNB Illegal Activity Agent Fines A First
Acting as a supervisory, the MNB has fined the Bulgarian company Interactive Ft 40 million because the brokerage provided illegal financial services in Hungary.

Its predecessors, Interactive Brokerage and Global markets did possess a licence in Hungary but it expired on July 14, 2014.

MNB fined the agents involved in illegal financial activities for the first time, fining Krisztián János S. And Dávid F. Ft 2.5 million each and Balázs B. Ft 2 million, Portfolio highlights.

The MNB has suspended all illegal activities of Interactive and has reported the suspected crime to the police.

Interactive took advantage of the fact that its name resembles the well-known US brokerage Interactive Brokers; this was considered an aggravating factor, the MNB underlined.
