Seven Hungarians Invited To Join US Film Academy

The American film academy, best known for giving the prestigious Academy Award for cinematic achievement, invited a record 774 people to join its ranks this year. Seven Hungarians are among those invited, the website Variety said.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will now count directors Márta Mészáros, Ildikó Enyedi, Géza M. Tóth and Kristóf Deák, animated film director Ferenc Rófusz, producer Anna Udvardy and writer Éva Pataki among its members.
