Seal Returns to Budapest After 15 Years
Seal’s voice is one of the most recognizable of all time, leaving a lasting mark on the worlds of pop, R&B, soul, and dance music with songs such as Kiss From a Rose, Crazy, and Killer. The velvet-voiced singer-songwriter last performed in Hungary 15 years ago, but on July 30 he will return to once again sing his greatest hits for us at the MVM Dome.

Over the course of his career, Seal has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, his songs have surpassed 1 billion streams, and he has won four GRAMMY® Awards, three BRIT Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards, and one MTV VMA Award.

As a versatile and defining figure in popular culture, his body of work includes universally known anthems such as Killer, Crazy, and Kiss From a Rose. The latter reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won the GRAMMY® Awards for “Record of the Year” and “Song of the Year.”

It was also featured on his quadruple-platinum 1994 album, Seal II. In retrospect, Stereogum described it as “a radio signal beamed into the universe from a much, much more beautiful planet.” Seal has also appeared in films by iconic directors such as Spike Lee and the late Joel Schumacher.

His music has been covered by artists including Alanis Morissette, Bastille, and George Michael. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Jeff Beck, Joni Mitchell, Santana, P!nk, John Legend, and Gallant.

His musical impact and popularity are further demonstrated by appearances in The Lonely Island’s cult classic film Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, Tyler Perry’s production The Passion, as well as on the shows America's Got Talent and The Masked Singer.

Most recently, in 2019, he received a GRAMMY® nomination in the “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album” category for his album Standards.

Seal last performed in Budapest in 2011, so after 15 years we will once again have the chance to experience his powerful live performance and dance together to his timeless hits on July 30 at the MVM Dome.
