10 Million Euros Scheme To Promote Foreign Language Learning In Hungary
The human resources ministry has launched a 3.3 billion forint (EUR 10.71m) scheme to support extra curriculum foreign-language classes in Hungarian secondary schools, a ministry official said on Tuesday.

Under the scheme, foreign languages will be taught by language teachers of participating secondary schools or by university students specialising in foreign languages, state secretary Katalin Novák told a press conference.

Institutions may receive up to 410 million forints, she said, noting that the scheme was expected to support 8 to 10 applications altogether.

The timeframe for implementing the programme is 30 to 36 months, she said.
