Tight Security Measures For Putin’s Visit
Preparations are under way to tighten up security in connection with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to Budapest, the Hungarian foreign minister said on Friday. Hungary’s counter-terrorism force TEK will provide the level of security deemed necessary by Putin’s security service during the visit, Péter Szijjártó told a press conference in response to a question.

Putin will be in Budapest primarily to attend the opening ceremony of the 2017 World Judo Championships, he said.

Additionally, he is scheduled to have a working meeting with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

The Russian delegation will include several ministers, among them the health minister who is also the co-leader of the Hungarian-Russian mixed economic committee.

As a result, plenary talks will be held with the participation of Russian and Hungarian ministers, Szijjártó said.
