Alexandra Szentkiralyi, the head of ruling Fidesz's Budapest chapter, on Saturday called on Budapest Mayor Gergely Karacsony and his administration to reveal how many "foreign-funded agent organisations" they were cooperating with.
The central investigative prosecutor's office (KNYF) has questioned Ferenc Pal Biro, the head of the Integrity Authority, on suspicion of further crimes, the KNYF said.
Instead of financing arms shipments to Ukraine, Hungary is providing 400 million forints (EUR 988,000) to the Lebanese army from the European Peace Facility, with the aim of ensuring the country's stability, Peter Szijjarto, the foreign minister, said in Beirut on Tuesday, adding that the aim was for Lebanese regulars to take over the task of ensuring Lebanon's security from the militias.
The Sovereignty Protection Authority said on Friday it is doing everything in its power to ensure that foreign money is not used to fund political activities in Hungary, adding that it will focus on uncovering organisations funded by American aid agency USAID in the coming weeks, in addition to "political pressure networks funded by Brussels".
