Extended Schedule For Bus 100E Serving Budapest Airport
Online business daily Heti Világgazdaság reports that, following the unpleasant events of the recent weeks, BKK has decided to extend the schedule of the 100E bus with longer hours and more frequent departures.

Bus 100E took off first in July 2017 from Deák Ferenc tér to Budapest Airport. The convenient route is used by many, as you can get to the airport from the heart of the city directly for 900 HUF.

However, the bus departs at every half an hour which resulted in the buses getting overcrowded, endangering the passengers’ health. Several transport organisations have taken their plea to the city council to have a more frequent and longer schedule for bus 100E.

István Tarlós, the mayor of Budapest, said that the city has reached an agreement with the airport, thus instead of departing every 30 minutes, the buses will depart every 20 minutes from May 18, the first bus taking off at Deák Ferenc tér at 3:40 am, while the last bus takes off from Budapest Airport at 1:20 am.

The schedule of bus 200E will be improved too, although this issue was raised in February already. Bus 200E will start the day at 4:05 am at Kőbánya-Kispest railway station, the last departure from here is at midnight sharp.

The first bus takes off from Liszt Ferenc Airport at 4:02 am, while the last one at 00:21. However, bus 200E taking off from the Airport will not serve the Kőbánya-Kispest station from 23:21 on, instead, it will stop at Határ út metro station.
