Foreigners Account For ¼ Of Hungarian Adoptions
Foreign nationals accounted for 23% of adoptions in Hungary last year, a summary of data from the Central Statistics Office (KSH) shows.

KSH said 234 adoptions were approved for foreigners from a total of 1,025. In the previous three years, the proportion of adoptions in Hungary by foreigners averaged about 18%.

There were 1,972 Hungarian children up for adoption at the end of last year.
