Butterfly Garden Open @ Zoo Budapest
The public can admire, close up, several hundred types of colourful tropical butterflies, mainly from Central America and South-East Asia, until September when the nights start to become cooler.

Located behind the historic Palm House (America Tropicana) this special area, covering 260 square metres, provides 1,200 cubic metres of space for several hundred specimens of 25 tropical butterfly species.

The Butterfly Garden is designed to allow visitors to mingle with the butterflies; in this way, they can observe them from really close up, for example while they are flying or feeding.

Needless to say the butterflies are not to be touched due to how fragile they are.
