Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc Airport Passenger Numbers Up More Than 7% In First Half Of 2019
Passenger numbers at Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc Airport climbed by an annual 7.5% to 7.3 million in the first half of 2019, data released by industry intelligence company CAPA Centre for Aviation showed.

The increase slowed from a 17% rise in the same period last year, in line with the expectations of Liszt Ferenc operator Budapest Airport.

Passenger numbers in June were up 9.1% at 1.5 million. Cargo volume was down 15.5% to 10,700 tonnes in June and fell by 7% to 65,700 tonnes in the first half of the year.

Last year, Liszt Ferenc Airport handled a record 14.8 million passengers, 13.5% more than in 2017.
