The inspections, announced beforehand on the tax authority website, focussed on eateries and vendors near beaches, on markets and at festivals and events.

Agents carried out almost 3,000 inspections, usually in the evening hours or on weekends, checking primarily the issuing of receipts, the legality of workforce, use of online cash registers and the cash on hand.

Shortcomings were most frequently found in the operations of the online cash registers, as there were anomalies in 70% of the cases.
