No New Construction Can Begin In Budapest City Park
Budapest city council yesterday approved with a 17-2 vote a resolution declaring that no more construction work can begin in the City Park.

Mayor Gergely Karácsony has said that building projects now under way may continue, but there will be a ban on new projects, such as a new National Gallery.

Karácsony will attend today’s cabinet meeting, where the City Park project will be on the agenda.
