Hurry, champagne lovers, and celebrate this special day by sipping all sorts of fizzy fashions on a tasting tour of the hotels’ special assortments.

The Food and Beverage experts of Sofitel, InterContinental and Marriott are behind this unique idea that has never happened before. Besides their own programs, masterclasses and tastings to make Global Champagne Day special, they are introducing their Champagne Tour along the Danube promenade.

The three locations are in walking distance of each other, so lovers of the golden drink are welcome to taste nine award-winning tipples as part of the tour. 

Participants will be able to buy a Champagne Tour voucher in any of the three locations and start out from there.

Sofitel Budapest will host J. de Telmont champagnes, InterContinental Budapest will offer Laurent Perrier and Marriott Budapest will invite you to experience the best of  Veuve Clicquot – just follow the drift of the Danube.

The real enthusiasts can start the tasting tour at noon and it won’t end until 13 hours later at 1am.

All three Food and Beverage leaders – Gergő Borsos (InterContinental Budapest–Corso Restaurant & Terrace), András Lakézi (Sofitel Budapest-Paris Budapest) and Ádám Vincze (Budapest Marriott Hotel-Liz and Chain) believe that this exclusive event will be great both for experts and for beginners to learn about the exciting world of champagne. 

Their aim is to continue this new-found cooperation into the future and offer special experiences for all gourmet lovers at the bars and restaurants of the three hotels.
