Fewer Young Teachers In Hungarian Schools, More Children Segregated

The study found that the proportion of teachers aged 50-59 increased from 27% in 2008 to 35% in 2018, while those older than 60 years of age rose from 2% of the total to 9%.
The proportion of teachers younger than 30 dropped from 9% to 6%, those aged 30-39 from 27% to 18%.
The study also found that the number of disadvantaged children – mostly Roma – who were taught in segregated schools rose by more than 10% between 2008 and 2018.
