Hungarian Police Discover 250 Cases Of Online Fraud In 11 Days
The Hungarian police discovered 250 cases of online fraud, worth a combined 41.5 million forints (EUR 124,000) in just 11 days as part of an international effort, the police reported on its website.

In the operation, focusing on purchases over the internet and coordinated by Europol, the police forces of 19 countries identified 6,500 fraudulent transactions worth a total 5 million euros, and detained 60 suspects.

The police have warned internet users to check if their IT devices and visited sites are safe when making online purchases.
