New Digital Citizenship App in Hungary is Becoming Popular

More than one million people have downloaded the Digital Citizenship app, a government official said.
The service-providing state has a responsibility to make public services available in the digital sphere, guaranteeing security for administration and payment, Zsolt Nyitrai, the prime minister's commissioner for priority social affairs, said in a video posted on Facebook.
The new Digital Citizenship Programme is all about streamlining communication between citizens and state bodies, he added, noting the scheme to provide state services on mobile phones.
All citizens will need when they leave home is a key and their mobile, he said, noting that various key documents can now be presented via the app, saving time, cutting red tape, while also helping to protect the environment.
