"America’s first" Donald Trump has met "Hungary’s first", Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, several times in the recent past. He has been considered an important partner: a fellow populist at the heart of Europe, within NATO. Orbán wants to show the world he still is important to Trump...

But it appears Trump doesn't need Orbán within the EU - because he’s ignoring Europe. At the first pre-peace-talks meeting in Saudi Arabia in February, the US and Russia not only excluded Ukraine, they also didn’t invite the Europeans.

And if Trump really does want a friend in Europe, these days there are other candidates to choose from, as the video below shows.
