New Owner Sacks Hungarian Media Market Magazine Staff

Pro-Fidesz political scientist Levente Boros Bánk has bought the Media Market magazine and dismissed the entire editorial staff.

He said he aims to make the trade publication an influential paper and to renew the print edition.

Bánk invited the editorial board to a meeting and then everyone was given the sack.

He did not talk about the firings, but stressed that he wants to prove that there are good journalists on the right wing as well, and that there should be balance in media-related news.
