Hungary Has One Of Highest Per Capita Covid-19 Death Rates, According To Johns Hopkins University

The 185 deaths reported on December 20 equated to 19.15 per million people, the highest figure in the world for that day.
The figure peaked in Hungary on December 5, at 19.98.
The situation is bad in most neighbouring countries as well, with mortality rates of 18.76 per million in Slovenia, 18.7 in Croatia, 15.77 in Austria and 8.24 in Slovakia.
Based on a seven-day moving average, Hungary is also near the front of the field, placed sixth in the world, preceded only by Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Liechtenstein and San Marino as regards the number of deceased.
