Coronavirus Outbreak Cancels More Flights In Budapest
Liszt Ferenc International Airport will not accept flights from the northern Italian cities of Milan, Bergamo and Treviso affected by the coronavirus after Italian authorities imposed a quarantine in the region, airport operator Budapest Airport announced on Sunday night.

The restriction took effect from midnight and means the cancellation of 27 flights each week.

Wizz Air announced that it will suspend flights to the three Italian cities until April 3.

Ryanair has been operating 16 weekly flights to Northern Italy.

Budapest Airport will continue to measure the body temperature of passengers arriving by direct flights from China and Iran.

Since the imposition of the measures, 5,919 passengers and 416 staff on 77 flights have undergone thermometric screening.

The airport operator said it has several hundred million dollars’ worth of equipment and supplies, including protective equipment and disinfectant materials.
